ITW 2023 International Telecoms Event Sparks Networking Opportunities

The International Telecoms Week (ITW) is the largest event for the global wholesale telecommunications community. The 16th annual edition was held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. NUSO, a leading business cloud communication Software as a Service provider, was happy to participate.

Networking at ITW

The event featured a multitude of networking opportunities in meeting rooms, food and drink venues, and receptions, as well as a wide-ranging choice of conference sessions to choose from. ITW filled the Gaylord, a massive multi-level venue, with the Exhibition Hall forming the heart of the event, conference stages and meeting spaces throughout. Attendees from telecoms and the digital infrastructure ecosystem around the world took advantage of the opportunity to connect with their industry peers, executives, decision makers, and thought leaders.

“We went to the conference with a full agenda of pre-scheduled meetings as well as an additional number of impromptu meetings and introductions,” said Tom Michaels, VP of Carrier Sales, NUSO. “NUSOflex was a star of our conversations this year, generating significant interest in discussions with our existing and prospective customers. Conversations with customers and peers on their strategies for Teams and Zoom were also a highlight as we continue to develop offerings built around those platforms.”

Communications in Transition

Discussions at ITW clearly illustrated that businesses around the world are continuing to transform how they connect. Gone are the days when a single interface was sufficient. Today, a key to success is being able to communicate how and where people want to – voice, video, messaging, etc.. This is making Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) offerings increasingly in-demand. Full stack CPaaS providers like NUSO meet businesses of all sizes where they expect to be met and provide the tools necessary for omni-channel communication.

“We were excited to attend ITW and meet with our customers and industry peers in person. ITW is the carrier event of the year,” said Briana Sullivan, VP of Marketing, NUSO. “Beyond the educational benefits, ITW is an excellent opportunity to exhibit our full stack of cloud communications offerings while building relationships with our partners and other professionals in the telecom industry.”

Change, Opportunity & People

The event this year saw over 5,900 attendees from more than 1,800 companies. Designed with networking top of mind, there were countless opportunities to make new connections and renew existing ones. More than one hundred and seventy speakers presented actionable insights for building roadmaps to future connectivity for organizations and businesses of all sizes. Additional topics included investment opportunities, new business models, and key telecom topics, large and small, based on industry research leading up to the event.

With all the emerging technologies in the market today, it’s easy to sometimes overlook the point of telecom: connecting people. At NUSO, connecting people when, where and how they choose is our focus. We are excited about the rapidly evolving landscape of communications technology and look forward to ITW 2024.
